Pros

Everyone at SITEL kingston becomes like family, it is an amazing atmosphere and I have had the chance to learn so many new skills that have been used at work and in my personal life. Its in a great location near the train station and has parking if you drive. The building has just been refurbished and is a lovely environment with all projects having a kitchenette (a bit like being on holiday) and an area to sit/chat. There are lots of social events and opportunities to enter competitions on a team and individual level so it becomes more than just a work place - these are not however mandatory so if you don't feel like you would like to participate there is no feeling that you are being forced. Management is very supportive of individuals, I am a single mother and have found that SITEL have always been supportive of me physically and mentally through the ups and downs of life and I have always been able to maintain the work life balance that is needed when you are on your own. I have been here 7 years because this is a place I can enjoy coming to work but also enjoy having my life outside of work with my son. There is a large focus on self improvement which is also excellent, lots of health and well being events (massages, free fruit etc) as well as professional self improvement with monthly (or sometimes fornightly) checkins.

Cons

No vending machines for food.

Pros

Some level of job security. You know exactly what you're doing because it's a call center. Different client projects that you could apply to be part of. Located in Orem by the mall. Decent pay ($25 an hour... for now).

Cons

You can't have anything on the call floor depending on the client (I support Intuit, so there are no phones, paper, pencils, books... nothing). The benefits are atrocious. PTO doesn't start until after 6 months. Company politics and favorites exist here. I'd say about 30% of calls get transferred to us from other departments (Payroll, Payments, Desktop, Saves, Sales, pretty much everyone) that should not have been transferred and could have been solved without us. They're going to hire more account resolution specialists soon after so many agents left, and they're starting their pay at $20 an hour.... so just think about what means for us. You get one occurrence per day you are absent even if you call in sick. I think 10 is the limit.
