I moved to UK&I from a senior management role in a leading IT company. It is not what I was promised.
One of the big challenges in Fujitsu is the quality of management and leadership. A lot of managers have been over promoted and lack the necessary business skills and qualifications to be effective. It is extremely difficult to find an MBA in UK&I. When new talent is brought in it is often side lined by VP’s who ether don’t know how to use it or feel threatened by it.
Staff productivity and motivation is low and a lot of staff have been in the same role in Fujitsu for 20-30 years and have out of date skills and market understanding. This also blocks new talent coming in to the business and development and promotion of talent in the business.
The culture is very process heavy to compensate for the low skill base and ineffective management. Internal business services are just not fit for purpose.
IT and IT management terrible. Internal IT forgets who the customer is and fails to understand the needs of the business effectively.
I have found HR to lack integrity and be untrustworthy. Get everything writing and signed by HR. Keep your own copy or it will be missing form your file when needed (no emails).
