Pros

Management is Supportive, amazing team mates, and excellent benefits program

Cons

The level of responsibility is in no way congruent to its pay. You’ll spend the first month and a half cramming for the state license exam, and if you don’t pass- you don’t get the job (unless the score is close, they’ll let you retake if close; at your expense tho) You will be learning 1-2ch a day, with tests the next morning. This makes your 8hr learning day into a 10-13hr day studying if you know little to none about insurance. The next month in and half is cramming all the online material and software applications- learning all the legalities in the world of insurance in each state in your regions. How to speak w/ your guests,, and Oh soo much more. This is all doable for sure,, but when you see a sign at your local McDonald’s hiring for a drive thru cashier for 1.25 less an hr; it hurts your heart a bit. Welcome to corporate America; we will never change.

Pros

GEICO is one of the largest employers in my smaller town, so I've heard all the good, the bad, and the ugly. What a pleasant surprise it's been working here! There is so much intentional change to create a great employee experience and get the right team leaders in place. Highly recommend not putting too much weight into older negative comments if you're thinking about applying. I've been very happy with my salary, the benefits/time off, culture, and leadership (both locally and senior leaders). I feel like there's a lot of room to continue to grow my career here and I see the same opportunities for others.

Cons

Really nothing major that I can think of!

Pros

Strong opportunities for career growth Many people are willing to mentor and support others without expecting anything in return Supportive culture, even from people who may not know you personally Increased focus on education and development, especially for leaders More company activities at the local office, which has been a welcome change Fun associate engagement opportunities like escape rooms, art activities, games, and food events So many opportunities for recognition

Cons

There are still some areas where the company appears to be rebuilding trust and confidence Change is noticeable and appreciated, but some improvements are still in progress Feedback has clearly helped shape recent changes, and it will be good to see that progress continue
