Pros
- Good starting off point in the corporate world - Work from anywhere is a great perk - Targets are achievable
Cons
People will say that management is the issue with GLG and while management is horrendous - this is a symptom, not the disease. The real problem is that there is no defined progression pathway for people other than into management. This is incredibly detrimental because of course successful individual performers want the promotion but as soon as they get it, they realise they actually have to manage people. This structure leads to inept micromanagement and no clear direction for any employee to go for. I would suggest that there are clearly defined progression pathways put in place away from management so the people who want to manage people go into management and the people who want to progress in other areas of the business, do that. Also, the layoffs are very bad and happen at a drop of a hat (20 people let go on Friday 15/11/24 with no explanation). Constant and consistent fear that you will be next.
