Where shall I begin?
- basic, uninteresting, repetitive and intellectually underwhelming work. They might present it as ''Review and analyse client research requests and use a range of resources to identify the most relevant subject matter experts across geographies, industries, and topics for each project'', but do not kid yourself, it's nothing but stalking and spamming people on LinkedIn. Nothing more, nothing less.
- toxic work culture: employees are pressurised to stay overtime even if there is no work left to be done. Eyebrows are raised if you are in the office at 8h45 despite the official start being later. Lots of pressure to hustle and appear busy for the sake of appearances.
- awful management: Lack of transparency regarding promotions, absence of clear structure regarding personal development and abundant favouritism. Forget objective performance reviews. Forget learning and development. Your numbers can be up and running, but if for some subjective reason management decides to pick up on you, you might be isolated, bullied and told to ''improve or else''.
- high turnover: New people appear and disappear on a weekly basis. Some leave out of disillusionment, some are called in for the meeting in which they are fired, paid their last salary on the spot and told to clear their desks immediately. The people at the top survived due to mixture of luck and ruthlessness, and relish in humiliating and degrading everyone below.
