Pay overall is poor and varies massively.
Workload is very high and a stressful place to be.
Seems to be no real strategy, people interpreting things differently and therefore no direction for staff.
Things change a lot with no real regard for the impact it can have. There’s been a few on and off recruitment pauses since September, lots of really excellent people left during the restructure and not much communication to those safe or at risk. Also hired lots of people last year only to make them at risk of or redundant this year.
Handling of the restructure very poor. Gymshark are very vocal about mental health support in the consumer community but this is not reflected within staff remit. Constantly told about resources for support but treating us with more transparency and dignity would have been much more beneficial. Information throughout consultation wasn’t great.
Only offered statutory redundancy pay and was told via recorded message about redundancies. Not reflective of the values of Gymshark or how it was mentioned the ‘family’ would be supported. Felt like they were winging it.
