Pros

If you are good at your work,you will be noticed & acknowledged immediately.In the training period there is less work load,try to gain the maximum out of it , show eagerness to learn.HR initiatives are great fun.One thing I would say is that Idea is the best company for someone working at the top management level.There is less load as compared to the equivalent positions at other companies apart from countless facilities including home location postings,free phone/internet,spouse connections, discounts at ABG outlets.Telecom is an area which is the most challenging and fun to work with.

Cons

Initial 1-2 years of work are very challenging.You will be given meager jobs like filling excel sheets,replying to normal mails. You will have to come at weekends and in night shifts regularly.No facility to work from home.If you a person interested in R&D and innovation , there is not much scope for you.You will not be given your preferred location due to which you might face some regional issues like food,language barrier in communicating with your peers,etc. There are very very less options if you want to move to other jobs. You can't move to rival telecom companies,vendor companies.If you want to move to a software firm,your experience at Idea is of no use.

Recruitment procedure is simple Balance between life and work Good Chances of growth An opportunity to think humanity

Cons

One can not switch to other companies because of the tie up among the sector to avoid prevent switching of employees
