Pros

-The brand name -Leaves are easily granted -excellent "work area"<I did not say "work environment">. The Infosys campuses are always beautifully landscaped and clean. Each time I used to look at the incredible architectural wonders, I would tell myself if the same money was invested in the "rewards and recognition programme", it would make Infosys a better place.. -Working mothers/wives are treated with an easy hand -All policies in place in case of any harassment -Efficient n helpful finance deptt<no problems in PF/PPF?Gratuity refunds>

Cons

This review is only meant to be a way of helping my former employer get even better at the job that it is doing. I have no ill-will, only mean to help.. -incompetent low-level managers (do not trust their employees;they are really technical people who just go through a few training sessions to learn management. Evidently the sessions are inadequate) -lack of mobolity across departments/geographical locations <I once asked my manager for a transfer to another location, she said that her manager had told her that no transfers were possible, even if it meant that the employee would decide to leave the company if not transferred> - variation in onsite opportunities according to the business unit. Those of us who are unfortunate to have landed in the wrong department, feel cheated when other employees (mostly no better than myself) go abroad. -inadequate rewards and recognition <I was given the Annual "Spot Award". I was the youngest member from many teams to get it. The award-> "a shoulder bag">. The best performing software engineers get this annual award for "Excellence "(considered better than the Spot Award). They get INR 1000/- only (taking 1 USD=INR 50, it translates into USD 20) -very few leaves <only 15 earned leaves per annum>

Pros

Job stability – Infosys is known for long-term employment and steady projects. Strong brand value – Having Infosys on your resume adds credibility and global recognition. Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Global exposure – Opportunities to work with international clients and global delivery teams. Structured processes – Well-defined policies, documentation, and governance. Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
