Pros

1) Security. Will never lay off unless you are Mr.Bean

Cons

A lot. 1) Cheap and negligible salary 2) Stupid management 3) Appraisal system is a total disaster 4) No hikes. Hikes are like 1 or even 0.5%. Can buy a coke extra in a month. 5) Lots and lots of policies. Feels like even to cough we need to understand the policy for that. 6) Work culture is very bad. Bend the maximum in front of the client. 7) Absolutely no work life balance. Weekends, night any time you are expected to be available. 8) Dirt cheap salary and big talk. 9) All the profits and percentage stolen by senior management and share holders. 10) Benefits are almost negligible. More often lease breakage itself might not be reimbursed. 11) Main one. Technically you will become zero after 3 years in Infosys. You will be good for nothing here after about 2 years. 12) After about 3 years as a fresher, people are focusing on to become managers and become good for nothing fellows. 13) Biggest waste guys are the managers. They dont know anything other than following up with the team on status. More often they might not even know what the project is about. I know many of them personally who are good for nothing. 14) CRR system of appraisal is the worst and stupidest in the industry. There is absolutely negligible monetory difference between the best performing and worst performing employee. May be a maximum of 10$ a month.(Not even that I believe) 15) Only media hype is there. Everything that say in the media is a lie. their attrition rate is much much higher than they shared in the media. 16) Many of the projects are total crap. Summary: You are loosing your career joining Infosys. Take their shares instead. This company only loves their share holders and nothing else.

Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
