Pros
The best reasons to work for Intel Corporation include the many degrees of flexibility bestowed to employees, the ability to work for a leading manufacturing company and the multitude of resources that go along with that, and the location of the company - Portland, Oregon. Flexibility at Intel Corp means working from home, having no supervision of vacation, skewing shifts, working out at gym which is conveniently located at work, and ability to do daily tasks while at work. Leading manufacturing company is somewhat intuitive, but the benefits go beyond the ability to put it on a resume. Learning the aspects that make them successful and applying those to future endeavors.
Cons
The downsides of working for Intel corp are as numerous if not more numerous than the upsides. The most obvious downsides include: Intel is a large, I repeat large company - having over 80,000 employees worldwide, recognition and feeback at Intel corp is nearly non existent, and carreer advancement and ability to move up is extremely inhibited. In my humble opinion, all of Intel's problems stem from its size (my first point against it) but I will elaborate on the main two deficencies stemming from the shear size. Feedback at Intel is a once/year process and it is written by the employee him/herself and thus not true feedback, recognition (read reward) is an extremely bearucratric process driven by corporate distributions of how the company should reward on a whole. Thus if you are in a small strong group, good luck!
