Pros
-good pay -flexible (you choose your own hours each week) -you get to work in teams (serving guests) - especially good if you have friends there as you can choose your team if you want but there’s no pressure to, it can also be random -you can meet and serve celebrities (e.g. they hosted the BAFTA dinner) -In some areas of the hotel (like Park Room) you can get a lot of tips (£50 at a time) -free food if you are a hostess/ if you work for more than 6 hours in one shift -many different areas of the hotel that you can work in - serving for the general events or for their restaurants/ tea rooms.
Cons
-Very very chaotic in the kitchen while waiting to serve the meals -You don’t get proper training (I got mine 6 months late) but are expected to provide excellent service (however, hopefully your team that serves the plates with you can show you) -The plates are very very hot sometimes and the gloves are not thick enough - I have nearly dropped them at times.
