Pros

Local management is great, really feel valued for the work you do.

Cons

To headquarters you are an expense that they are looking to downsize on. They will smile in your face, tell you how much they “value and appreciate you”, then turn around and see how they can get rid of you. Your pay, those benefits that they’re so “proud” to give to you… is an expense that is taking away from their bonuses. My advice, if you do choose to work for Liberty Mutual is to get your resume booster and get out before they get rid of you.

Pros

Highly competitive compensation, generous annual bonuses, and excellent bonuses such as 401(k) matching and annual credits, tuition reimbursement, childcare support, affordable healthcare, vision, dental, and additional unique benefits for all stages of life and discounts for fun things like shopping and products that may be of desire!

Cons

It is a competitive place for high performers, but it is motivating and not intimidating in my opinion!

Pros

Diverse culture, work life balance, flexibility

Cons

They go through layoff regularly. Lay offs are massive, whole organizations at a time. They have multiple waves a year. I’m not sure how anything gets accomplished from so much firing and hiring and moving. Whoever’s left takes the burden and realizes they’re next. It’s bad for motivation and productivity.
