Pros

- Remote first workplace, albeit with pressure to go into the office for some teams

Cons

- People are promoted based on personal relations, and managers won't listen to any negative feedback that concerns the employees they personally get along with - Favoritism with managers being personal friends with employees, which makes them unable to evaluate said employees in a way that is fair and unbiased - No career growth - Unclear expectations, with some people being pushed into different directions and having overly broad scopes - In a lot of teams there's the expectation that you'll be available 24/7 and always checking slack and email even when on PTO or outside regular working hours. Management doesn't admit they're expecting this but then employees are penalized for "not being team players", and praised for being "dedicated" and "always available" and for logging in for meetings and emails during their time off or for working while sick - Goals keep changing throughout the year, which penalizes employees when it's time for performance reviews - Raises and promotions are decided in a way that isn't coherent and consistent across the company - Raises this year were laughable

Pros

cool technology, awesome CEO, capable engineering and PM VPs

Cons

engineering/pm leadership needs help. the CPTO is not technical at all and has no product vision. However, the VPs of both engineering and PMs are all very technical and capable. They are limited by the CPTO though.
