Pros

Most people are great. It was once a really great company to work for. Optional well-being allowance.

Cons

The company environment has noticeably declined over the past year. Salaries have fallen below industry standards, and there is an ongoing expectation of unpaid overtime to meet workloads. Morale has been affected by employees feeling overworked and undervalued, with limited recognition or support. More recently, concerns around delayed salary payments and significant staff redundancies have created uncertainty and instability within the business. Unfortunate to see what was once a friendly and exciting workplace turn sour.

Pros

Team were fun to work with before most left or were laid off. Colleagues really cared about the work and mission.

Cons

Lack of direction - vague statements would be made about company direction and what its goals are, but there was little to no conviction from top leadership and it felt like teams weren't provided enough information to align their work or make meaningful progress, leading to stagnation in the products and tech and the very real risk of being left behind. Complete lack of transparency in communication from senior management. Decisions would be made which nobody in the company seemed to be aware of, or priorities would suddenly change and we didn't know why or whether there was commercial benefit. Lack of commercial traction through 2025 and 2026 led to bonuses going unpaid, then payroll being missed with no certainty it would ever be made, despite being told the commercial side of the business was stronger than ever. Eventually pay was made after a deal was struck with an investor, although the company entity changed in the process and share options were lost. Pensions remain unpaid due to this process. Many staff were then laid off, and other key team members chose to leave of their own accord. It's a shame, because there was a time that things looked very promising.

Pros

Work From Home. Friendly co-workers - but most were laid off, or left.

Cons

The company delayed payroll once and later missed payroll entirely, which caused significant financial stress for employees. Some staff reportedly missed mortgage and childcare payments, and for several weeks there was genuine uncertainty about whether wages would be paid at all. The situation was eventually resolved after external investors stepped in to stabilize the business, but morale declined sharply afterward. Following the payroll issues, many employees left. Those who remained were promised bonuses as part of the recovery effort, but those bonuses never materialized. Instead, another round of layoffs occurred, with employees disappearing from the company without any formal communication for weeks. The company also lacks a proper HR structure. Pension contributions were mishandled for months, and employees were informed that missed contributions would not be reimbursed by the company. From a business perspective, the model also feels unstable. A large part of the product appears to rely on scraping reviews from platforms such as Google Reviews. Since these platforms actively work to prevent scraping, the engineering team is constantly engaged in a cat-and-mouse game to bypass restrictions. This creates the impression that the business is vulnerable and could face serious disruption at any time. Overall, I would not recommend working here. The company appears to be on a downward trajectory, with ongoing operational, financial, and leadership concerns.
