Like working in a 90's era bank. It's just a daily grind. Nothing special. Nothing worth moving for. - Information Technology Specialist PNC Financial Services Group Employee Review

Pros

Stable work and good people.

Cons

Compensation is far below other large banks and health insurance options are horrible. No perks or incentive to stay. Bonuses are a toss up and are no where near what other large banks offer. Training, travel, and other worthwhile experiences, are non existent. Commuter beneifits are worthless, no gym, no amenities, employee appreciation program is a joke. Overall, PNC is cheap and old fashioned, yet they pretend to be progressive, fun, and modern. Reality is much different. PNC is another company that never left the daily grind era, yet they want to appear modern, fun, and different.

Pros

If you are under the right branch management, working day to day can be a breeze. The vacation policy is great, and the support they provide to help you move up in the company is easy.

Cons

The challenging part is keeping your branch manager happy by hitting your monthly goals, so they do not get pulled into meetings about the branch performance. If your branch has terrible traffic, it will get annoying fast, hitting the phones and the same clients every day. Try to work at a branch that does not work on Saturday's so you have more time for yourself.
