The process took 1 week. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group (Charlotte, NC) in Dec 2022
After completing the assessment. I received an email to do a phone interview. After that step, you move to a face to face interview. I had the pleasure of interviewing with three Branch Managers. One in person and two via webcam. Super easy process, managers made me feel comfortable. I got a call from the recruiter about three day with an offer.
- Tell me about a time where you had to meet a deadline? How did you handle it and would you do anything differently?
- How do you feel about technology and explaining it to others?

Two stage interview, first with the AVP and then with the VP. Both were courteous and knowledgeable and offered a wealth of knowledge about the position as well as the expectations required.
- Questions were fairly open-ended and freeform. Not a technical interview.

Very easy. Basic questions. No matter what position it’s always the same list of like 20 questions. They have it for uniformity in the process. “Have you ever improved a process” “what are your future goals”.
- “What are some of your goals”

A telephone interview with general behavioral questions followed by an in person interview with the branch manager. 2 days after the interview received a verbal offer through phone followed by a written offer letter via email.
- General behavioral questions. Tell about an unethical situation you faced in current job.

Fairly straight forward interview process. Would not consider the questions asked to be tough. Mainly they are looking to understand if you seem competent enough to do a good job and that your personality fits in.
- Tell me about a challenge you faced in your prior role.

I applied online. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group in Aug 2023
I interviewed for the loan support analyst commercial mortgage backed securities midland. I had 2 recruiters reach out and schedule an interview with 3 managers. The managers I met with were all sitting at home and were in tshirts so I felt overdressed. They read scripted interview questions (they stated in the interview it was scripted) and they didn’t seem enthusiastic at all. As if they didn’t feel like doing the interview and didn’t seem interested even though I’m very much qualified and have a lot of experience. I answered each question and even made them laugh. I honestly don’t think I got the job because I’m black. I hate to bring race in it but when you look at the company and who interviewed me, there are barely any minorities. When I applied I purposely didn’t put my race.
- Tell me about a time you had to say no. How do you like working in a team These are just 2 examples

Two rounds last round being superday. The interviewers were all nice and easy to talk to and made me feel welcome. They asked more behavioral questions including some of my experiences.
- What is a current affair that excites you?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Pittsburgh, PA
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group (Pittsburgh, PA)
it was a basic process with recruiter doing a phone screen , then hiring manager interviewing . questions about your experience and your interest in the job they were hiring for
- questions about your past experience

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Pittsburgh, PA
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group (Pittsburgh, PA) in Jul 2023
I was initially contacted by a recruiter to see if I'd be interested in the role. After, I showed interest I was invited to apply for the role and set up with an interview with HR. Call went good and was contacted a week later to set up an interview with the hiring manager. Not only she showed up late for my interview but she was very rude during the whole call. She kept aggressively asking inappropriate questions saying how do you think your current job would be different from this role forcing me to make assumptions about the role. I can only imagine how much of a nightmare this lady would be to work for and feel quite sorry for anyone under her. I would not consider PNC for a future employment opportunity after this interview given this is how their managers behave.
- How would your current job be any different from this role?

Anonymous Employee in Los Angeles, CA
I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group (Los Angeles, CA)
The interview process was great and pretty simple. Not technical based and much more focused on soft skills and seeing if you are a good match for the team. Process also was not long.
- Tell me about yourself? Why PNC?
