Pros

Great training Very simple sales objective Annual goals, broken down into monthly goals. Great management with management to skills vs numbers. Goals are created monthly based on buying cycles. Clients really need the products they are offering. It is a service businesses really benefit from and the local support is amazing. Great employee management/managers. Easy to attain and over achieve if you do you daily tasks.

Cons

Processes sometimes create problems for clients on boarding. DIfficult to get ahead once you get behind. This job is a very strategic sale and is an emotional sale/fear of the unknown. Travel for training and offsite events expected to happen off business hours. (In addition to your normal work week.) 3rd tier training they require you double bunk with someone from your 2nd tier training class.

Pros

Paychex is a great company to work for. I’ve held multiple roles over 20+ years. There are always ups and downs, but for every position, manager, decision I disagree with, there are ten others that are outstanding.

Cons

It’s a large company with many opportunities to grow, but smaller companies may offer higher compensation.

Pros

People and the overall environment is a positive one. If you do your part, definite long term career potential. It’s not easy- but stable, growing. Worth serious consideration for early career looking for sales experience with a great training program. Also good for mid-career consideration if base salary isn’t the primary reason you are in sales.

Cons

Very fast pace that doesn’t suit everyone. If you are looking for easy or just a job to “hang out”, this probably isn’t the right spot for you.
