Cons
Getting promoted into senior management is very tough. Some more than qualified candidates are 18 years without a promotion. The gamble is your career, you can wait until there is an opening but you coul dwke up at 55 and still be waiting. Getting promoted into middle management is obtainable. However you will not be compensated appropriately.
