Pros
Recognition for a job well done! - Mgr's (direct and otherwise) are always quick to share praise for a job well done. It's meaningful and genuine as opposed to other companies where it is either missed completely, or not acknowledged. Respect for downtime - I never have to worry about will I be able to get my vacation time or will it be cut short... time off the clock is valuable and it's a very family based culture. If you travel for work, you will get home to see your family, if you're working beyond your normal hours - it had better be a good reason because that's family time. Incentives/Wages - competitive with the market and applied consistently... I enjoy what I do, and they pay me to do it. :) I enjoy getting my incentive as well, and since it's over and above my wage, it's that extra thank you that goes a long way.
Cons
There are some unique challenges with internal communications. It's not bad and certainly important word does get around - but there are areas it could be improved or made smoother and consistent. This is often true of most companies. I would like to see a better designed internal front page with more achievements noted and updated more frequently. For some departments it's hard to change from the way "we've always done it this way" but I've seen that less and less, however I now believe some of that may be client driven as well, so this isn't a big "con" certainly not a reason not to join the company.
