      No Work / Life Balance - Installation Specialist Philips Employee Review

      Pros

      There are great friends that I work with as I travel my multi-state area installing imaging systems, It is always great to see old friends and install equipment that has a HUGE Positive impact for the patient and physician care.

      Cons

      More, more, more, and more. There is no end to the demands of my schedule. There is no Work / Life balance. Consider this point if you are married or have children - are you willing to give that up for this job??? I suggest that you look elsewhere.

      Pros

      Great company with great work environment. Work quality of life is excellent. Good benefits and good vacation time.

      Cons

      Lots of change based on changing times. Your way of working will change somewhat at least every couple of years.

      Pros

      The people in non- upper management roles that work there are fantastic. Great sense of community onsite and the culture champions are consistently looking for ways to make work life better.

      Cons

      Very poor communication on the strategy for the business unit. Leadership publicly promotes innovation and new ideas to be presented but then those ideas are shot down or penalized in private by current upper management. The business unit leadership says that don't want excuses for project delays but will then decide to do 3 major layoffs in the first two quarters with no transition plan, no support for gap in resources and no expectations to delayed progress.
