Pros
It’s relatively good money compared to similar jobs Craftsman especially get paid better than other construction workers You learn a lot personally and professionally The company does some fun events, summits, and a Cancun trip They give military an extra day off after drill For smokers, they drug test but allow you to smoke weed Project and installation managers get a phone, an iPad, and a company truck/van You can move up relatively quickly as there is a lot of opportunity
Cons
Work/life balance is certainly lacking The talent acquisition team is on par with military recruiters Dealing with people you can’t relate is simply difficult They company expects you to go to every event after working 50-75 hours there not including travel as if you don’t have to run errands or love anyone As much as they claim to value innovation and diversity, your thoughts and opinions have to be perfectly identical to theirs or it’s wrong It’s truly like a small cult
