Pros

The leadership development programs at Power are second to none. For candidates seeking an opportunity for career advancement Power has really pioneered an amazing leadership training program that gives everyone an opportunity to move into a management position with incredible amounts of support and training, should they choose that career path. Within in the next 3-5 years as the business grows their will literally be hundreds of management opportunities in marketing, sales, operations, sales and marketing director roles, Regional Vice Presidents, and I'm sure new roles will be created as well accross the country! So for people looking for a company that's growing really fast, helping save the environment with green products, and providing services that are truly helping families, Power is definitely an incredible career opportunity for any candidate looking to grow with the company in all departments!

Cons

No B.S. Training is really hard... Here's why, Power tends to hire only candidates that are the best of the best, so we expect them to be able to learn and adapt very quickly to give them the best chance at success early on in their careers. Those that take their training most seriously tend to have the highest success and can quickly earn $100-150,000+ within their first 2 years. Most professionals coming from other careers adapt well, but haven't really experienced the amount of professional training & bootcamps Power has and they can be overwhelmed at first with the amount of material that needs to be learned in their first 2-3 months, but there is a lot of support from managers and peers to help you through training and beyond that. This means a lot of extensive training on business practices, products, and on-going industry specific training that continues throughout your career at Power. The company wants every candidate to see improvement in themselves so they can continue to develop professionally, and eventually move into management or different areas as leaders of the business! The days can be long at times, but any career that's worth growing in depends on your commitment to excellence and getting your job done at the best of your ability no matter how long it takes I suppose.

Pros

After 15 years with the company, the biggest positive has always been the employee-focused culture. They genuinely invest in creating a good work environment, from modern office spaces and great amenities to company events, conferences, and even trips that help build team culture. The flexibility in BT to work remotely part of the week has been a huge benefit for work-life balance, especially with a family. Compensation is competitive within the home remodeling industry, and the company offers solid benefits like 401K and private health insurance. There are also opportunities to grow and learn if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Cons

One challenge is that career growth and promotions don’t always align with seniority or long-term loyalty, which can sometimes feel discouraging after many years with the company. For employees in tech-focused roles, compensation can feel a bit below market compared to the broader tech industry, even though bonuses can help offset that in strong years. Raises without a promotion are usually modest, and while the health insurance is decent overall, coverage for some major medical needs could definitely be improved.
