Pros

Salary and benefits, good springboard for recent industry entrants to launch their new career

Cons

Mediocre assignments, saccharine culture, no opportunities for advancement, tries to present itself as something it is not, excessive emphasis on Sales, lack of Sales training coupled with pressure to sell, inefficient and confusing workflow processes, favoritism, poor employee retention, consultant and management burnout. Cut throat sales tactics. Apparent lack of employee recognition. Lack of true leadership opportunities.

Thank you for your feedback. We have shared your concerns about the focus on sales and recognition with our leadership team. We agree wholeheartedly that money isn't the source of all happiness and believe that a fulfilling career includes strong professional development opportunities, a great support network of those you trust and respect, great client/project opportunities, career progression, recognition for a job well done, an opportunity to focus on giving back and your own wellness, and competitive salaries to name a few. We wish you the best and hope to stay in touch!

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
