Pros

Protiviti is has a great corporate culture, flexible placement, and provides easy access to execs. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is non-competitive. A LOT of employees have come to protiviti from the Big-4 because of these factors. New internal initiatives to provide international work experiences. Work life balance can be easily maintained.

Cons

Diversity of projects is lacking. Most projects seem repetitive and relatively unexciting. Although, that is somewhat expected in a firm that focuses on audit and compliance. Pay is also somewhat below the industry average, but not too bad either.

Great opportunity to grow as an individual based off of your technical and behavioral skillset.

If you are not assigned to a client, you could be on the bench which will affect your bonus.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
