Pros

At PubMatic, especially at the individual contributor level, you will find some highly skilled engineers, product owners, and domain experts from whom you can learn.
Cons
I do not suggest anybody to join pubmatic right now as In past 3 years there have been 4-5 rounds of layoffs already and employees were fired without any notice. So job security is a very big concern. Even if u are a high performing assest and if ur reporting manager does not like u he can get u fired and this actually happens in pubmatic. Other issues: 1. Frequent restructuring and shifting priorities – Constant organizational changes and changing focus areas often lead to unclear priorities, reduced ownership, and distractions from core responsibilities. 2. Below-market compensation for engineering teams – Compensation growth has not kept pace with increasing responsibilities or industry standards, leading to dissatisfaction and higher attrition among engineers. The promotions are dry and if promoted by chance your yearly hike is prorated and accordingly % will get reduced from that making effective hike for year to around 6-8% only. 3. Excessive management layers and decision-making gaps – Communication gaps between leadership and execution teams can result in decisions that require significant rework, placing additional burden on engineering teams. 4. Infrastructure and employee facilities need improvement – Workplace amenities, particularly in the Pune office, have been a recurring concern. Employees have reported multiple food quality and hygiene issues, including several instances where insects were found in food, and feel that corrective actions have not always been sufficient.
