Stepping stone: If you need quick experience in the IT industry you'll have the chance to obtain the basics working here. Remote: I get to work from the comfort of my home which allows me to avoid traffic and save money. Simple work: The work is very simple and easy to learn. If you have a high school diploma, you're good to go.
Cons
Job insecurity: Since being with Randstad, I’ve been laid off twice without advance notice or severance pay. People are being fired and replaced by offshore workers with lower pay. Company appears to be more focused on saving money than retaining and developing valuable employees. Poor communication: Other teams fail to communicate things to us in advance to Tier I in particular. We tend to find out when the issue arises or several days after a change has been made. In some cases, we find out months later. Low compensation: Other jobs are offering way more to do the same job. Skillset not being utilized: I have the ability to do a lot of things that could help the team but I am limited. I have the ability to architect end-to-end products and implement automation but my skills are reduced to helping someone create an email signature. I am not being challenged. Lack of career advancement: I feel like I am stuck in this position without a path for growth.
