Pros
The gym is fantastic and they have great trainers. They also provide free lunch at the cafeteria and the food is not bad!
Cons
All the strategic direction and decisions come from the Korean headquarters; and unless you are Korean, you are treated like a second-class citizen and your ideas and contributions are not be valued. There is very little transparency and sharing of information within the company. They have no idea how to “collaborate” or “innovate”. Majority of senior executives are from Korea and they are quite rude, disrespectful and raise their voices. HR is unable to shift the culture of the company so that a company that has offices and presence in the US adheres to US values and professionalism in the workplace. Women especially are treated badly as Koreans are quite chauvinistic and expect everyone to bow to them - literally. Despite its new building in San Jose, Samsung is a rotten company!
