The reality is that Samsung is one of the world's largest start ups. The Korean company hires bright people but unfortunately doesn't foster a culture which engages new ideas and creative thinking. I have seen improvements but the hierarchy and internal red tape will lead to its demise. Employees learn a lot quickly but the unspoken rule says get out within a year to avoid stagnation. Hopefully Samsung will one day treat its employees like grown ups.
