Pros
Good for people who are happy to push papers. Light unchallenging work load.
Cons
Lack of training, inconsistent grading (favoritism), work isn’t assigned with any thought to career growth or appropriately based on skills, managers appear to be lifers who have seem to have no training to be managers, at least good managers — it appears that friends protect friends regardless of merit. An “old Sanofi club” akin to an old boys network. The result is junior people don’t really learn and there’s little exposure to latest practices. Little support getting training externally. Even if the cost is meager. Comp and benefits severely lag behind the market and company doesn’t even provide yearly COL raise. You could be stuck at the salary you entered at for years and years.
