Pros
Brand recognition, deep bench of technical talent. Good product offerings. Good career opportunities, provided you're willing to relocate. Good vacation policy. Average medical/dental benefits.
Cons
Losing sight of customer experience, with most of the attention paid to the financial metrics. Narcissistic executives, who pay lip-service to "ownership culture," stain the organization with poor decision-making. There's a cadre of management's chosen few who move up the corporate ladder, despite some of them having obvious ethical shortcomings. Slow to recognize market trends (positive or negative to the bottom line) and even slower to react with viable strategies. This is a fast-follower company; too risk-averse to be a true leader/innovator in most of markets we serve. Habitually implementing some sort of re-org (3 re-orgs in 5 years).
