Sovos Response
4yThanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. Being a part of an acquired company is challenging. It’s almost certain that there will be some things that change. Many of those are for the better. You mention our flexible time off policy – that’s a good example. Others might include the chance to work in a global organization, or an immediate increase in the job opportunities available to you to grow your career. Some changes are more difficult. But I do want to challenge the idea that our decision making is done by people who are out of touch with the work being done on the ground. While I don’t know for sure which organization you were a part of prior to acquisition – I do know that the leadership teams of our compliance services organization have remained largely the same. That means that the leaders who were part of companies before they were acquired are still leaders at Sovos. They play a vital role in our decision-making processes – influencing employment decisions, merit increases, process improvements, etc. We do this because we know how important it is to retain people who do understand the complexities of the job. But while I might disagree with the root cause – I still understand and appreciate your feedback. It is hard to feel engaged when you don’t understand how decisions are being made and that is something that we can and will work on to make sure you and anyone else feeling similarly understand. My door is always open if you want to talk to me directly! Paul Banker, GM
