Pros
The pay is great, more than you will get at any other food service industry. The benefits and stock are also amazing, no matter where you are at in life/career.
Cons
You are on call 24/7 for your store. The training is 2 months, incredibly basic and glosses over every important detail needed to be a truly effective manager within Starbucks' standards. You are not protected by anyone to your own time off, and you are required to take your administrative days IN the cafe. You are effectively floor coverage for your 8 hour shift and if you are lucky, you might be able to get off the floor to do some administrative tasks. Overall, the amount of hours worked is much higher than 40, there is no consistency to your schedule, and your staff will quit on a dime leaving you to work an open/close shift. In a less busy store, might be worth it.
