Pros

Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00pm Good pay Good benefits That's about it.

Cons

With the exception of one or two people, the management team is a bunch of greedy, crooked, corporate aholes who will make a point every day to let you know you're just and inside sales rep. The micromanagement is the worst I have ever seen. It doesn't matter if you show up to work every day 15 minutes early, the day you clock in at 8:01 you have to note that on your time card and it counts as an occcurence. Supervisors like to yell at employees in the middle of the sales floor for everyone to hear. Your performance is measured based on elements that you can't control. Basically, your pay and raises are based on what territory you end up getting. The HR team doesn't do anything about internal issues, and when you call the corporate hotline you get pulled in the office the next day. There are constantly promises made that never are pulled through. There is preferential treatment like I've never seen, and the second you speak up about anything you get a target on your back. Then comes the retaliation, and managing based on fear and intimidation. People get screwed over all the time if they're not friends with the right managers. That includes promotions. The turnover rate is ridiculous and it's not because of the job, it's because of the managers and the environment. Also, parking sucks. There are 400 employees in the building and enough parking for about 120.

Pros

The pay is excellent .health care is 100 % paid with 100 %coverage...with exception to eye and dental which is about 70%..coverage...pension is outstanding..full package with wages and benefits is worth 130,000 yearly..without a college education I am grateful for the standard of living UPS HAS AFFORDED ME AND MY FAMILY!...and with 27 years of service I now get 6 weeks vacation with 8 sick days..and 9 paid holidays...we work hard like many people in the work force but we are well compensated!.

Cons

The only con is while your children are young you give up a lot of family time..I never got to watch my kids play sports and missed a lot of their growing years...the job can be hard on your home life but if you can make it through those years you and your family will enjoy the financial freedom that UPS provides...and now I look forward to a prosperous retirement!...so hang in there all you young drivers...
