Pros
The military was the best choice I could have made to develop many skills as a employee, and maybe more importantly an independent, well rounded adult. Through the military I learned the hard and soft skills required by employers. Additionally, I learned a degree of resilience and critical thinking skills that I feel you only get from challenges.
Cons
Difficult work life balance for established family units. You must learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable.
