      Pros

      -Free education during active duty and G/I bill when getting out -Job experience -Close knit -Medical/dental benefits

      Cons

      -Depending on the job you can work over 12 hours a day even on shore duty -Necessary time frame for ranking up -Not a good balance of family/work life -In the aviation community on a ship you'd work 12 on 12 off with no extra time for yourself.

      Pros

      Effectively taught every aspect under the communications umbrella to a more than competent level. Effectively allowing an individual to become a one man media team in terms of knowledge and skill.

      Cons

      Sometimes leadership can place everything on one persons shoulders, miscommunications lead to large scale rewrites or redo's.
