      Serving your country! This is (in and of itself) its own reward. However, you also get money for food, medical/dental (for you and your family), educational benefits, family/mental health counseling, 100% secure VA loans for buying a house, etc.

      Cons

      Being gone from family for extended periods of time, missing birth of your kids, etc.
