Life as a helicopter crewman can be rewarding. The training and operations can be anything from thrilling to mundane. Your peers are usually mentally sharp and reliable.
Cons
You will have long hours and sometimes your days are random. You may no know what tomorrows flight schedule looks like until 4pm the day before, so it can be difficult if you have children. This is not for single parents because the schedule and deployment cycle are too hectic.
