Pros
Flexible schedule, remote. Very little micro management. Focus on your work and deal directly with the client.
Cons
Vaco prides itself on diversity and friendly and untiring culture. The culture may be that internally with contractors. I can assure you that the culture is tone deaf and there’s little to no room on the client side for “culture” if they hate you, they hate you and that’s basically it… you’re doomed. Vaco will do nothing to keep you as an employee. I understand that this is how it is in the contracting world, but the account managers should know when they have a problem client, in this case, it was Roku, they should try to do what they can to keep that contractor employed. Merely 2 months into the contract I was severely injured in a freak accident and rushing to get back to work remotely, Vaco terminated the contract. No warnings, no nothing. They do not care about their employees. They are just human capital.
