Pros
A few great people still left, nice benefits and PTO
Cons
If you take a job here, be aware that you are extremely expendable and will never be able to trust that you will have a job next month. I've been laid off by this company twice. If they can get rid of your position, outsource it, or absorb it into another, they will do so without hesitation. They will lure you into believing the layoffs are pretty much over, and because you're such a great employee or because your work is bringing in revenue then you're safe! But trust me: your title, department, performance, and success DO NOT MATTER. I've watched layoffs happen to employees in every area and position and at every performance level--sales, HR, IT, creative, editorial, management, you-name-it. I've seen more loyal employees than I can count--some who had been at the company 20+ years--get let go at the drop of a hat. Many tried to hang on by their fingernails and take jobs in different areas so they could stay with the company, only to be laid off again. That's what happened to me. One friend I know had been laid off by Wiley three times in 12 years before she threw in the towel. Do NOT trust this place. If you accept a job here, let it be a temporary placeholder and keep looking elsewhere. Getting canned is not a question of if, but when.
