Pros

Good benefits package and solid first step into sales for people without experience. Remote is also a pro.

Cons

Working as an Account Executive at Yelp has been nothing short of a nightmare. The quality of leads provided is abysmal, often consisting of businesses that have no interest in or need for Yelp's services. Management is unresponsive to any feedback, brushing off legitimate concerns about the product and sales process. The administration refuses to acknowledge the glaring downsides of Yelp, choosing instead to push a narrative that simply doesn’t reflect reality. The compensation system is designed to favor only the top earners, leaving the majority underpaid despite putting in the same grueling hours. Success heavily depends on the territory you’re assigned, which is completely out of your control. If you’re unlucky, you’ll find yourself struggling to meet unrealistic quotas. The turnover rate is astronomical, with many talented individuals leaving due to burnout and dissatisfaction. If you're considering a sales career, steer clear of Yelp.
