Pros
-o9 has a lot of career opportunities especially if you are on-site, you're willing to grind, and you're ok with a sub-par work-life balance -Originally, project were poorly staffed oftentimes with freshers. While I was there, this seemed to improve drastically. -I will give an additional star for most categories because the majority of people who work at o9 are smart, hard-working, and good people. -One of the headquarters, Dallas, is a great place to work
Cons
-Many if not most people in leadership positions VP and above should not be as they have simply been an employee for so long that they needed to be placed there. They should not be in charge of people or decisions. -Decisions from above especially in delivery are made with very little transparency -Most delivery teams can't push back against ridiculous customer requests. The majority of the time the expectation is to deliver regardless of the request. -Benefits are supposedly competitive, however no 401k match is a big hit and the promise of an IPO as being around the corner is truly not in sight so options are a pitiful replacement -Documentation of their own product is extremely poor. The online education system academy is dated and poorly implemented. -There is very little sese of camaraderie unless you are a hybrid or in-office employee. There is very little effort to improve this.
