Pros

Because of the lack of organization within the management, employees get a chance to work on a variety of projects without any training or assistance. Result poor product, but a chance for employees to build experience.

Cons

It is a company that provides products supposedly to help companies have a safe and healthy workplace. The irony, is that it is a very unhealthy workplace. As soon as I joined, I was given almost no training, but managed to learn everything quickly. However, they kept overloading me and all the other consultants with work. I am talking about work overload that require 80 hours or more a week. It was a very stressful atmosphere, no transparency, and no clear expectations. Very poor choice of managers and no recourse (If you want to complain about your manager go to him to complain) That was the statement. The message the management says is that we do not care, you are replaceable. The employee turnover is very high for a simple reason: there are so many good places to work at.

Pros

There are little pros to mention. Other than being able to pay the bills and barely have anything left at the end of the month to spend on yourself.

Cons

Anything you can imagine as part of your working life is a con at this company. Whether you are in their DC offices or in Brussels. The company is very badly organised and structured. You will NEVER work an 8 hour day since everything takes so much longer to complete due to bad internal procedures and complicated databases. The employer/employee relationships are very fragmented and concerns are never considered by upper management. In fact you will wonder whether there is any link between employees and employer since they either have no understanding or factual knowledge of what goes on or they simply turn a blind eye. They rely heavily on recent graduates and are almost a revolving door when it comes to hiring since they take advantage of low paid EU citizens to fill their posts which are completely expendable to them. Do not expect anything. It is but a stepping stone for all who work there who have the resilience to put up with the company. If everything else fails then consider working for them but ALWAYS keep your options open and from day one I would suggest looking for another job. Also there is a strong suspicion that all positive reviews on this website are part of a promotion of the company by management. You have been warned. Good luck.

Pros

Friendly and knowledgeable colleagues. The EHS projects supposedly will help business to promote health working conditions and a better environment.

Cons

Senior management is totally out of touch of the consultants, who make up more than half of the total employees and contribute to the 100% of business, yet senior management feel so proud of it as they think they are superior than consultants. 1. Salary. Consultants are severely underpaid, either judged by the industry average or by the revenue each consultant generates annually. 2. Promotion. The philosophy is simple, you are selected on day one by CEO's personal preference. There is no formalized internal promotion procedure at all. Your intern will become your boss before you even realize it. Be careful not to be too strict on a junior joined years after you because very likely, he or she will become your boss next week. 3. Career Development. Enhesa is not a typical consulting firm, consultants are hidden from clients most of the time. You will not have the opportunity to improve presentation skills or other interpersonal skills as you will learn from any other consulting companies. The depth of legal research and analysis required at job is very limited too. 4. Working Environment. Besides a group of nice colleagues, the overall morale is low and the office is old. Low-end desks and chairs impose ergonomic risks, and at least 20% of the work time must be devoted to fight with an outdated IT system. 5. Management Style. The above points will be totally invalid once you are selected as a manager. Being a manager at Enhesa means you have a higher salary, you are above the rule, you get international travels at least twice a year, you have no solid work to do, and most importantly, you will not be held accountable for any wrong judgement or decision.
