Pros

The only pro of working with the company is that one gets CUA and CXA certifications.

Cons

The company will lock new employees into unfair contracts. This begin with the offer letter which in many cases, contains a clause that if one accepts the letter and does not join, he/she is legally liable to pay 5% of the CTC. Employees are setup for failure by poor scoping and project management. The processes which the taught during certifications are disregarded on internal projects. The company attracts employees by international assignments, however they do not disclose the facts that many of them are sent to work on business visas, which is not an acceptable practice. There has been cases where employees were stranded in foriegn countries without proper visas. Favouritism and Politics is encouraged by the management. You could get kicked out anytime. Even after one has quit the company, the company will delay full and final settlements. They expect ex-employees to beg for their hard earned dues.

Pros

A certification program that is good for people who are early in their careers and can benefit from this program.

Cons

The company lives in the past glory and has no vision about the future. People are highly dispensable at all levels and scum has moved to the top. Expect a lot of politics.

Pros

Pros: - Flexible work timings - You can get CUA and CXA certifications on the job - The branding of HFI can give your career a boost

Cons

Cons: - HFI was once a very good organization to work with. Now, it is the best example of how a self-indulging family business can look like. The senior management makes all the decisions right down to who will work on what project and what snacks to order for the pantry. (The primary reason is that even the CEO has sometimes no work on his table!) - Your will get good projects only when you are good to the senior management. You will have to praise them at all times and keep them happy. The day you make them sad is probably your downfall in the org. - There was once some research done at HFI. Now, it only rides on the waves of the past. There has been no serious research done in HFI in the past 10 years. The whole curriculum of CUA and CXA is outdated. Look at the Mobile Design course and you will feel like someone did a Google Search on Mobile Design and copy pasted the first 10 search results. - Policies change on the whims ad fancies of the higher management. One day someone would be accused of discrimination and the other day the Founder himself would shout and scream at someone right in the middle of the office. That someone would be punished and the Founder would be praised and appreciated. - The whole India office is like a puppet in the hands of just 2 people in the higher management. India head has no say in the decision making and just runs around the 2 people agreeing to whatever they say. - Politics all around! So, be brave and fight the political wars if you happen to join them.
