Nicest group of colleagues to work with but management is a serious problem
Pros
Friendly colleagues who are passionate in what they are doing. You may also get to travel across different offices, depending on your position.
Cons
The company used to have a clear vision and mission in terms what they are doing, however that has changed after a change in management. While the new management prides themselves in terms of their extensive experience, their time and attention are split between the company and their own side company. Hence, as much as they were brought in to bring in structures into the company, things have only gotten messier. Open communication is a mere front, where employees are clueless as to the management's plans/directions for the company. SOPs and approvals changes on a daily basis, instructions comes in at the very last minute, and employees are always bearing the brunt of it. Management has mentioned multiple times that they like that the team is young, but faults the team for being too young, and that the team doesn't know how to hold themselves and does not take the team seriously. Clear favoritism amongst the management for certain employees, while other employees seem to be more of an afterthought. While it is inevitable that the company is also impacted by the tech winter and has to let go of employees, the management has stayed silent, without addressing the issue with remaining employees, thinking that existing employees are ignorant. While it may seem that there is flexibility and work-life balance in the company, management likes to ask for last-minute after office hours meetings, including last minute work that has to be rushed out over the weekend as the management delegates them only on a Friday afternoon. Employees would also need to take time out to work even when they are sick.
