Pros

The team consists of wonderful colleagues who foster a supportive and collaborative work environment. Line and middle managers are exceptionally strong and provide effective leadership and support. Every employee is committed and goes above and beyond in their roles. The company offers engaging activities and company retreats, which help build team spirit and provide opportunities for relaxation and bonding. Additionally, the projects are interesting and diverse, offering opportunities to work with varied clients and tackle unique challenges.

Cons

While I acknowledge that these are my personal opinions and experiences, I am concerned about several issues and will attempt to convey them as objectively as possible. 1. No Defined Salary Review Process: There is no structured process for salary reviews. A promotion does not guarantee a pay increase. Any salary increase is applied company-wide, regardless of individual effort, even though many employees go the extra mile. 2. No Defined Promotion Structure: Promotions appear to be nominal and seemingly given only when staff retention becomes an issue. 3. Contract vs. Company Handbook: The contract lacks details on key aspects such as Work From Home (WFH), paternity leave, and holidays. Instead, these are covered in the Company Handbook, which can be changed at any time. Employees must accept these changes to avoid jeopardizing their positions. 4. WFH Flexibility in Creative Department: While everyone is allowed two WFH days, they must be Monday and Friday. This policy is inflexible and does not accommodate needs such as NHS appointments on other days, which the Directors do not accommodate. 5. HR Issues: HR emails and issues are somehow routed through the Managing Director (MD). HR appears disinterested and lacks the authority to effect change. 6. Paternity Leave: Paternity leave is only the bare minimum required. 7. Mental Health Accommodation: There is a lack of understanding and accommodation for mental health issues from upper management.
