Pros

Some of the staff are incredibly supportive of each other, and there’s a real sense of camaraderie among the team trying to make the best out of a difficult situation. The work itself can be rewarding when we’re given the space to actually do it.

Cons

Now I don’t mean to ruffle feathers, but after decades in this business I know the differance between leading and lording over people. And what’s happening under this VP of Claims? It’s not leadership. It’s control, plain and simple—and it’s tearing people down faster than I’ve ever seen. You walk into work and you feel it right away—tight shoulders, people whispering, folks scared to speak up. That isn’t normal. And it sure as heck isn’t healthy. The VP’s got this way of making “jokes” that ain’t really jokes—more like little stabs wrapped in a smile that leave you feeling small. And if something goes sideways? Oh Lord. She’s quick to throw someone under the bus and make herself look like the one who cleaned it all up. Lately, people don’t even feel like they can say they’re overwhelmed. You try to bring it up—how tired you are, how overloaded—and she’ll shut it down right away. Says it’s “not justified by data,” like numbers on a spreadsheet are more real than what we’re living. But we know better. We might have less claims on paper, but the ones we got are bigger, messier, and just plain harder. And we can’t even hire cause noone wants to come work here anymore. We’ve had roles sittin empty for almost a year. People hear about how it is under her and they say “thanks but no thanks.” So we just keep doing more with less, and it’s us—the ones still here—that keep payin the price. I’ve seen too many good folks walk out that door, not cause they weren’t good at their jobs, but cause they couldn’t take it anymore. And the ones that stay? We’re hangin on by a thread some days. This ain’t what this company used to be. It’s sure not why I got into this line of work. I don’t know what it’ll take for someone higher up to really look into this, but I hope they do. People deserve better than this. They deserve to feel respected, to feel safe speakin up, and not scared they’re gonna be the next punchline in some meetin.

Pros

Good company supportive environment and management in terms of growth

Cons

Some of the old employees are racist like 10-15% of employees While Management do support you when you want to grow, they do listen to you, they tries to comfort you with words but don’t take strict actions towards racist and hateful behaviour Growth is too slow since most employees are more than 10 years old and have steady and comfortable life, you don’t get opportunities to get promoted and get higher salaries. Either take 1-2% joie every year or change the company if you wants to get into higher position and grow your earnings
