Pros

When I first started at Little Hinges, the environment wasn’t terrible. There was a sense of optimism during the initial "honeymoon period," and the ability to work from home was a definite positive. This flexibility allowed for better work-life balance in theory, though unfortunately, this benefit was overshadowed by the company’s deeper issues.

Cons

Little Hinges might seem like a company with great potential, but this is completely overshadowed by its toxic, disrespectful, and unprofessional workplace culture. Employees across the board—front-line technicians, the former CX team, account managers, and the severely understaffed production team—are subjected to appalling treatment, with little to no regard for their wellbeing or contributions. Technicians have, on multiple occasions, been placed in unsafe environments without adequate support, guidance, or preparation. Instead of providing proper assistance, management frequently responded with inappropriate behaviour, including unnecessary questioning, laughing at genuine concerns, and using unprofessional and often offensive language. This lack of professionalism not only endangers employees but also highlights the company's disregard for basic safety standards. Staff were silently expected to start early and finish late, sacrificing personal time to meet the company’s relentless demands—all without additional pay or recognition. Instead of being thanked for going above and beyond, employees were often criticised or outright berated the following day for not doing more. Any attempt to raise concerns or offer constructive feedback was met with bullying, hostility, and intimidation, creating an environment where speaking up was not just unwelcome but actively punished. The culture at Little Hinges is toxic to its core. Leadership’s unwillingness to address these issues not only damages its employees but also inevitably impacts the quality of service delivered to clients. I can not, in good conscience, recommend this company as a workplace. Additionally, I strongly advise agents and other clients to look elsewhere. A company that treats its employees this poorly can not maintain the high standards required for successful partnerships, and there are far better alternatives available that value both their staff and their clients. Ps: to the management team. I have had this review reviewed, and I have been told that this is 'Above the line'.

Pros

Genuinely there are no pros working here besides meeting others that can relate to you when you're working under the time constraints and pressures of a 5 year old Start-Up Company.

Cons

the workplace pretends to be a real estate / commercial photography agency but in reality it's a data collection company. Most clients that hire Little Hinges think it's a easy photography job but in reality it takes longer than 30 minutes to complete the job due to the "data collection" people in the office are out of touch with the people who work onsite - from scheduling, to understanding the jobs to even how the technology works. KPI driven - from ridiculous defects to expecting you to become a salesman regardless of skillset / no training (without any employment contract or salary change as of March 2026) The Kilometer reimbursement is just under a $1 per kilometer (they take 90kms out of you before they reimburse) - Petrol Prices have risen since then & (they expect you to use your annual leave to fix your own car in your own time)
