Pros

Great company with good people.

Cons

Lack of opportunities and advancement at the junior levels. No real growth opportunities and most of the roles seem to be who-you-know. Quite relationships driven.

Pros

It will be a normal paced environment and stress-free for a career. Working with a team of 3-4 audit colleagues and so you become familiar with everyone. The audit projects change every 3 months giving ample time to perform them. In the projects, goals were learning about different business segments, business processes and auditing their controls to see if business processes were followed. This was a hybrid job, you are given a desk with your name (no hotel system) and you can leave items in the office. Great office facility with events promoted close to every month. You become familiar with the people in the department. It was a hybrid career making it a good work-life balance. For career growth a neutral comment related to this is that you would be promoted within the department.

Cons

The con come down to a lack of structured training for an entry level position. You are not given much to refer to for help other than a manual or prior work that performed as examples (inaccurate for requirements of current projects). The manual helped with learning the goals of the 3 month audit process. But there needed to be more resources to do the job well. This made it challenging for an Entry Level and it would have been a great job otherwise. But with career being a journey, if you have the opportunity and can overcome this or are experienced in Internal Audit, I believe it would make a great career. Otherwise worse comes to worse you can find another career path.
