The con come down to a lack of structured training for an entry level position. You are not given much to refer to for help other than a manual or prior work that performed as examples (inaccurate for requirements of current projects). The manual helped with learning the goals of the 3 month audit process. But there needed to be more resources to do the job well.
This made it challenging for an Entry Level and it would have been a great job otherwise. But with career being a journey, if you have the opportunity and can overcome this or are experienced in Internal Audit, I believe it would make a great career. Otherwise worse comes to worse you can find another career path.
