- Not really flexible management at a director level. Attitude of impunity viz "take it or leave it.", especially during negotiations. (I wouldn't advise one to engage in negotiations, it's likely just gonna sour relationships. If you found better, just leave in peace.)
- Recognition may not be solely based on performance. Worse off there is no objective measurement of performance. So sometimes recognition goes to the one who knows how to play to the tune of the culture, or one who talks the talk, but later on struggles to walk the walk.
- I suspect there are massive salary disparities (Some/few people get paid what they are worth, the rest have to take what's given, and if they don't like it they can walk, it seems.)
- Unwritten expectation to work unpaid overtime hours, happens quite often.
