Pros

Good People, Flexible timings,

Cons

Job Security - Nil , Attrition - High , Politics - High, Biased Mangers - High , Racists - High, Fake Promises - Too High, Existence - 20 years, Popularity - People mistakes it to be a Modelling company rather than software company, Comedians - Many in the Management. Model N with 20 years of existence and with a very little reputation probably many doesn't even know if there is such company. It aspires for sky high but is just at 2 feet above ground. I have worked in Model N for less than 1 year and was been terminated with in half an hour along side with 40 other victims due to an acquisition they made and the reason was Role overlap. Many of victims were who were just finishing their 1 year with the company. If you are not sure of people to take for a role then why did you hire. The major revenue it gets is only through LS RMC and it is one of the worst product with gloomy GUI, Latent, buggy product. Customers are just using it because they don't have any other product to use with. And the company feels it very proud saying it's a pioneer. It's the people at the lower level who gets the heat always because of the inability of Top management to deal with the customers. They make many a fake promises during your interview and make you feel you are in the best place of the world. In reality it is like you don't even know when would be your last day. Any day can become a last day. Model N has fired people with no proper reasons in 2013, 2015 and majorly now in 2017 because they have fired ISB recruits, 10 years experienced Architect who is instrumental in many ways for the company and many skilled talented poeple without prior intimation at all. It's the inability of top management, sales teams and the so called 'C's of the company who is running a product for survival but not doing business anymore. If you guys can't bring projects enough and put pressure on the people at lower level time is nearing that the company will need to be closed. It is already a sinking ship just because of some 20 years existence and no proper competitor yet it is surviving. After the Company has fired people it is saying to the employees that "we should promote our company. Please don't say anywhere that people have been sacked etc etc" Finally, Its a place where no processes are there, Employee risky policies, Please don't get tempted with the cookies they throw at you and join the company and get fired in less than a year with no fault of yours.. I guess I have saved few of my fellow mates with my review

Pros

Good Pay and good work life balance.

Cons

1) Worst Management. 2) Worst work culture, People doesnt even know why they are working and for what they are working. Here, Agile methodology means change code in every sprint irrespective of requirement and customer satisfaction. 3) Everyone in the team acts as a manager and no body know what exactly they are achieving by doing code changes. 4) They have two frame works(ACF & POF), no one knows what are those frame works, people working more than 5 years but still they dont know basic stuff in these frameworks. 5) Managers will have 8 hours meeting everyday, out of that zero result for team and zero result for work and most of the managers will do online shopping in those meetings. 6) They fired 45 members all of sudden without prior notice and the reason is they acquired new company. 7) if you are good at showoff then Model N is the best place. Work 10% and show off 90%, u will get good hike and promotions. 8) Cult culture intention is good but their way of organising cults is worst.

Pros

They will hire you with a High Salary, it could be even double of your present salary. Employee Friendly Organisation.

Cons

1. Its completely unsafe organisation even if you are newly joined. 95% of the new employees were terminated within 6 months of their hiring process, when the Organisation acquired a new company. Even a 2 yrs of exp employee(whose salary doesn't even compete with the IT industry) was terminated within 6 months, instead of providing a new/different opportunity. 2. It has a history of terminating the Employees even at the lower level. 3. The Project Management is completely unstructured. 4. The existing employees only work on bugs fixes. 5. In past 6 months, i have observed the people are creating the work themselves to survive. They don't have any competitor in the market, so they Customers use these products without any choice. So no new projects are expected. 6. Their product is completely based on AOF and POF, which is a proprietary framework, no matter how much experience you have, you don't understand the framework because the management doesn't provide any knowledge transition sessions even when the existing employees with solid knowledge exit from the organisation. 7. Management believes that if they are paying high, employees should do what ever they say. Finally, If you doesn't care about the job safety(i.e if you already have any alternatives), you can join the organisation!!
